Yogoda Satsanga Society of India organized the annual week-long camp for the students of Yogoda Satsanga Vidyalaya, Jagannathpur, Ranchi, which included Energization Exercises, meditation, classes on





yoga, lectures on spiritual and moral subjects, practical training sessions, chanting of the Bhagavad Gita, and Ramayana recitation. Various sports and athletic events were also arranged every evening and awards were given to students for their performances.




Sharad Sangam
Ranchi, Nov 9 - 15, 2008

Over 1,700 devotees from India and abroad participated in the Sharad Sangam from November 9 - 15, 2008. The careful arrangements for the devotees inside and around the Ashram helped them have a comfortable and fruitful sangam experience. A special evening of lights was arranged with hundreds of candles on the full moon night, which was very much appreciated by all the devotees.

Free Surgical Eye Camps

Weekly free surgical eye camps are now being held at the Ranchi Ashram throughout the year to reach out to more needy patients. In addition, two camps each were held in Khunti District and Ranchi District.

Around 1,000 patients undergo eye operations every year in the Ranchi Sevashrama hospital which was upgraded with a new Phaco-emulsification machine for cataract surgery and a new operating microscope so that two doctors can simultaneously operate on one patient.

Additionally, a Cryo Machine was bought for treatment of painful blind eyes.
