With immense joy, we announce that the Government of India has once again recognised the spiritual stature and contributions of one of the immortal sons of India, our Gurudeva Paramahansa Yogananda, and has decided to commemorate his 125th Birth Anniversary.
Paramahansa Yogananda, the author of the renowned spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi, founded Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS). The mission of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India/Self-Realization Fellowship (the international organization founded by Paramahansaji to disseminate his teachings worldwide), is to make available to all the ancient scientific teachings of Kriya Yoga for attaining the direct personal experience of God.
To cope with and overcome the challenges of a fast-paced and potentially stressful lifestyle, the modern man is more than ever in need of divine guidance. Paramahansaji’s non-sectarian “how-to-live” teachings embody a complete philosophy and way of life for achieving all-round success and well-being, as well as a comprehensive system of yoga meditation techniques for achieving life’s ultimate goal — Self-realization.
